After winning the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars in December 2010, Owner Victoria Donnelly of Cakeology used the prize money to open her first retail location in downtown Boston. This fresh, funky and stylish shop opened just over a month ago and the cupcakes are getting rave reviews.
Victoria came to Fusion knowing that it was important to leverage the publicity and exposure she currently receives due to winning the Cupcake Wars. However, she faced a dilemma that many new businesses deal with – limited funds for ongoing advertising.
Begin the company’s promotional marketing campaign with a few tried and true products that would be used daily by staff and customers in the retail location.
