Client Show Case:
BPOSITIVE PROJECT

Last month we kicked off our Client Showcase Series with our friends at Canoos and this month we wanted to feature a company that not only sells great products, but has a bigger meaning to why they do what they do and what they stand for, the b Positive Project. Meghan McNabb, the Director of Digital Marketing at b Positive Project gave us the low down on all that is b Positive.

What is your day to day role like?
I am the Director of Digital Marketing, which means I am in charge of developing, implementing, tracking and optimizing all of our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels. My day to day changes quite often, but it mostly consists of tracking our website analytics and any running ads, as well as creating and maintaining our social media presence and creating weekly newsletters.

What is the main vision and purpose of your company?
b Positive Project was started on the grounds that life isn’t always easy and that you have two options: you can either let it get you down, or choose to be positive. To overcome our own adversity, we chose to help those with greater misfortunes instead of wallowing in our own self-pity. We realized we couldn’t help everyone, but through our Positive Projects we could help someone. Today, we are an apparel company based around a sole purpose: connecting people and helping each other. A lot of good can start with being positive.

How do you use digital marketing strategies as a way of doing business?
Our biggest initiatives take place digitally. Everything we do marketing wise is generally from a digital basis. By keeping a close eye on our analytics we are able to track our customers’ behaviors and make any necessary adjustments to better our customers’ experience.

How important is social media/ email marketing to your business?
Social media and email marketing are both really big parts of our business. They are where the majority of our sales come from. For our email marketing, we like to send out bi-weekly newsletters that share promotions, offers, sales, or just general content about our positive projects or what we are up to. With social media we try to post different motivational and inspirational quotes daily because I mean let’s be honest who doesn’t need a little pick me up every so often. We also post the information that we send in our newsletters across all social channels. We do that because social media allows your audience to connect with your content on a more personal level then email does. It allows you to be a person not just a number on an email list and it gives us the opportunity to interact with our customers.

Who is your ideal customer?
I wouldn’t really say we have an Ideal customer and I think that is what is so great about b Positive. I think that no matter who you are or what you are going through/ have been through/ or even just know someone going through something, you can find a way to relate to our clothing and story. One of our main sayings is that we aren’t here to tell you how to live your life, but to remind you that there is always a little bit of positivity in some aspect of your life… you just might need to search for it.

What is the most unique part about your company?
I think what sets us apart from other apparel companies is that we have a monthly positive project in which we not only donate to a charity of choice, but we feature a story that is related to that charity. This past month, we featured a little girl named Brookie who has Cerebral Palsy (CP) and we wanted to tell her story because there just isn’t a lot of information or foundations out there about CP. We try to focus on companies or causes that might not get as much recognition as others, not to say that we wouldn’t be thrilled to work with these organizations, but being a small company ourselves, we try to support other small companies or organizations that aren’t as well known.

Be sure to check out the b Positive Project’s new website and apparel line that they have recently launched as well as their positive project for May. Enjoy free shipping and returns on any orders over $50 and remember to do good, look good, feel good, that’s the b Positive way.
